Southampton Have New Inhouse Catering Company

Halo Conferences and Events Company (Halo) will be based at St Mary’s Stadium. It will be part of the Club’s plans to enhance the fans experience at the stadium.

Starting on the 1st June 2010 Halo will be fully responsible for all aspects of the Catering, conferencing and event hospitality at the stadium.

Jochen Hartmann has been appointed as the Executive Director. He has an extensive CV showing a full international flavour.

Hartmann graduated fron the Ecole hoteliere de Lausanne. He has worked for renowned companies such as Hilton, Alain Ducasse and Do&Co.

Most of the strong team from the current catering and events staff, will be retained as they have chosen to join the new company. It is hoped that their knowledge and experience can be harnessed to help build the name of the new brand.

Halo’s main aim will be to improve the quality of service and the standard so far offered. Both the concourses and hospitality areas are set to undergo major improvements.

It is intended for the fans to see for themselves, over the next twelve months, the significant changes made in the concourses to the bars and food outlets.

The biggest issue raised by the fans has been the quality of service. The changes are intended to drastically improve the delivery to fans.

There is also the aim of having healthier and more child friendly products in the concourses. This will surely be a winner for all of us dads with our broods.

Jochen Hartman commented how he had always provided top quality catering and hospitality. He fully intended to help bring the club’s plans forward as it strives to become the best hospitality and events site in the south.

This is yet another sign of how things have changed since the club was bought a year ago. Not only have we seen improvements to the team and the acadamy. We have now seen staplewood start it’s makeover and upgrade and now we see the stadium being improved.

I am left here wondering what can we do next? Has Nicola got anymore plans which he will spring on us in a year or two? What a change in a year.
