Southampton have confirmed that manager Mark Hughes will take his first-team squad to France and Evian-les-Bains later this month for a second training camp of the summer and another pre-season friendly clash.

We head to the south of France on Monday, July 23 and will return on Saturday, July 28.

Whilst we are out there we have arranged a game against Ligue 1 side Dijon FCO and the match will take place at the Complexe sportif de divonne. The match kicks off at 2pm BST.

With a few new signings made now and Angus Gunn, Jannik Vestergaard, Mohammed Elyounoussi and Stuart Armstrong fresh faces through the doors, a second training camp – however short – will certainly help bring them on further as they adjust to new colleagues and what Hughes wants from them in terms of instructions and the like as we prepare for the coming 2018/19 Premier League campaign, so from that perspective as they look to gel it could be worth it’s weight in gold really.

We also know the destination well as we visited Evian, on the edge of Lake Geneva, for an intensive week of training this time last summer.
