Martin Hunter’s team were impressive as they patiently waited for the goals to come. Using the full width of the pitch it seemed a mere formality that the goals would start to arrive and so it proved.

Claum McNish played a through ball forward to Ryan Doble who then laid it across the box for Harlee Dean to hammer home from close range instead of having a shot himself.

Twice more Saints came close before Doble again sent a pass across the box and this time McNish tapped home with two minutes to go for half-time.

The second half began with Saints continuing the fine work and two minutes into the half they had number three in the bag.

Again it came from a Ryan Doble pass and it was finished once more by McNish who took a touch before hammering home low into the corner.

With Saints running rampant it was McNish who turned provider with a pass from the edge of the box to Oscar Gobern to finish off. A welcome first return for the lad as he played his first game since having his hip operation.

Saints fifth goal came after more clever work from McNish who provided the final ball allowing Ben Reeves to crash a shot past the near post.

With about 5 minutes to go Bournemouth notched a consolation goal after some substitutions had been made by Saints with some of the Under 16’s coming on.

All in all a good performance by the side and one which gives hope for our future.
