The Echo has published some statistics regarding Southampton this season.

The report claims that Southampton have scored the most goals in the Championship over the first 30 minutes of a game.

But it also shows that Southampton have the third worst record in the division for conceding goal in the final 30 minutes of a game.

Saints lack of concentration appears to grow as the game goes on with 8 points lost in the final 9 minutes while only 1 point has been gained over the same period.

Saints gaffer Burley responded: ‘There’s not any easy answer for that one.

‘You look at statistics all the time as far as having more shots than anybody, but at the end of the day all that matters is how it finished after 90 minutes.

‘Our home record is a lot better than away, but at the end of the day it’s the number of points that counts.

‘It’s a case of keeping that concentration for the 90 minutes to try and collect the points – because 90 minutes count in a game’.
