Swindon v Southampton

With all of the fuss going on about our hunt for a new manager this game has almost reached us as a second less important matter.
Swindon will be looking forward to our team still being in turmoil as the will he won/t he scenario unfolds.

With us having just lost by 3 goals to 0 at home to them in the JPT they don’t need any help in their preperations.

Three games now with three straight defeats, they must be relishing our visit to their home. We have no manager and the way it is going we still won’t have on Saturday.

Dean Wilkins will therefore have the chance to find a way to gain a modicum of respectability if we can win. Unlikely as the recent stats suggest but not impossible.

Dean Wilkins

Dean has admitted that since his arrival at Saints we have played three and lost three. He said,’We haven’t scored and we haven’t won in any of them, so I want revenge.’

Swindon Team News:

Lecsinel Jean-Francois and Alan O’Brien who were both involved at SMS in the 3-0 victory came through a full 90 minutes work-out aginst Swansea for the reserves. Both could be available.

Player to watch: Charlie Austin

He has done well against Southampton lately and will be looking to add to our woes.

Southampton Team News:

Lee Barnard sits out the second game of his three match ban. Frazer Richardson is still out long-term and Adam Lallana is not expected back for at least a month. Rickie Lambert is still struggling to regain the fitness and form of last season.

Player to watch: Aaron Martin

Young Aaron has been a revelation since making the first team and is starting to make the position his. He will be called on a lot to stem the Swindon attack and could be our star.
