Southampton’s matches against Swansea City and Everton have suffered a change this week.

Southampton’s trip to the Liberty Stadium to face Swansea City was originally due to take place on the weekend of the FA Cup quarter final ties, but with both sides being involved in the competition at that time the Premier League tie was bounced.

Following discussions between both clubs and the Premier League, that match has now been re-set in the fixture calendar and Mark Hughes’ side make the trip on Tuesday May 8 for a 7.45pm kick off.

The match has also been selected for screening by Sky Sports.

Our game just prior to that, Everton on Saturday May 5, has also been selected for screening. BT Sport will be showing this one live and whilst the date stays the same, the kick off at Goodison Park moves to the later time of 5.30pm.

Hopefully for Southampton the fixtures in April will have protected our top flight status and we can have a less nervy end to the year when May arrives.
