Saints winger Rudi Skacel is hoping to be ready for tomorows clash with Burnley. Rudi, who didn’t play in the F.A Cup at Torquay is still a doubt with a persistent achilles problem
Rudi said, ‘It is alot of games in a very short space of time which is very hard work. The Christmas programme is great for fans but very hard work for players especially on heavy pitches.’
‘My achilles has been sore but hopefully I will be fit for the Burnley game. I trained yesterday was my first training for ten days and I just need to see how it goes. Hopefully after a couple of days rest It will be alright for Saterday and I will be able to play.’
‘It is an important game and we will do our best to get all three points. We dropped points over Christmas, drawing some games that we should have won, and we need to turn those draws into wins if we are to really push for automatic promotion.’
‘I believe that we can still win an automatic promotion position, we are well placed and getting better all the time. We have a strong team and I believe in it and this season is a big chance for success and a return to the Premiership.’
