Former Southampton captain Claus Lundekvam cannot get behind the wheel for 28 months after admitting to drink driving and failing to stop after an accident.
The 36-year-old crashed his Audi Quattro Q7 into the back of van on the M3 motorway near Winchester.
The ex-Norweigen international then failed to stop and was two and a half times over the drink-drive limit after returning home from a golf charity event.
The former centre back has also been punished with 250 unpaid hours work by Basingstoke magistrates.
