Steven Davis has called on the team to pick up points, and start taking responsibility for individual performances.

Speaking to Sky Sports following the WBA defeat, Davis said.

‘The manager tries to take the pressure away from us as much as possible and lets us try and concentrate on the football. We are all in the same position, results haven’t been going our way and we are all under pressure, but we’re all pulling in the same direction to try and put it right. There’s still plenty of games left, but we need to get points on the board as soon as possible. It’s important we tighten up at the back and take a few more chances and then hopefully it will come together. All you can do is get your head down, keep working hard and try and put things right what are going wrong. We are still confident we can get out of this position, without a doubt. It’s early in the season but we know where we are, we are in a fight.’

We have to remember we are only 10 games through the league season, and there are a hell of a lot of points left to fight for. We are trying to play the right way, still introduce youngsters and clearly our new signings have yet to click in a consistent way, some would argue we can’t get much worse on the pitch at the moment – means we can only get better surely.
