Former Chelsea youngster Kayne Ramsay made the switch to Southampton’s extremely successful Academy setup just over 12 months ago, and the 17-year-old has already impressed us enough to offer him his first professional contract as he continues his development.
✍️????#SaintsFC is also pleased to announce that teenage full-back Kayne Ramsay has earned his first professional deal. Full details: https://t.co/iuI46rNM4C

The right back’s maiden year at Under 18 level was impressive and he even helped himself to a Goal of the Season contender in a game against Tottenham Hotspur last February. He’s also a regular skipper at that level and his maturity has already been rewarded with Under 23 involvement in 2018/19 under gaffer Radhi Jaidi.
With swift progress being made by the young man, he’s now signed a deal until 2021 which isn’t a bad length of contract when you consider this is his maiden one and I presume that speaks volumes as to the potential talent our youth coaches believe he has.
First pro deal! ✅

A massive day for the youngster and I’m sure he knows the work has only really just begun for him in many ways.
