French Side May Offer Wantaway Southampton Midfielder An Exit

|

It’s turned into a disappointing transfer window for Southampton midfielder Mario Lemina, as despite his talk about wanting to move up the Premier League and perform at a higher level, no club was willing to offer him an out despite all the speculation we saw ahead of our deadline day slamming shut.

The Curious Case Of Mario Lemina Continues As Premier League Club Distance Themselves

With his only option now being a European side, alternatively, he sits at home for the 2019/20 season, according to a report in France as relayed by Sport Witness, it’s believed that Monaco have shortlisted him as a potential option should they not be able to resign former player Tiemoue Bakayoko.

It’s believed they are in the hunt for some fresh faces after a poor start to their Ligue 1 campaign, and if Chelsea won’t deal for Bakayoko, Lemina becomes a reasonably sensible alternative option.

France Football suggest they would be willing to pay 15million Euros and I’d imagine we’d snap their hand off at that to ensure we got him out of the club given all his recent wibbling.
