Fry: Swiss group tick all the right boxes

Southampton administrator Mark Fry has revealed that the Swiss consortium ‘tick all the right boxes’ as they bid to buy the Saints.

Fry also stated that there are two other bidders if the Swiss bid was to break down, similarly to the Pinnacle group’s.

The Liebherr Group are thought to be the people behind the Swiss bid, and in Switzerland they are very successful, with a turnover of £8 billion for 2008.

Fry will now continue to try and complete the deal with the Swiss group, as Fry wants the takeover to end as soon as possible.

Speaking to the Daily Echo, Fry said: ‘The lawyers have been working with the current (preferred) buyer over the weekend.

‘There are one or two final issues to be resolved.

‘This international buyer seems to tick all the right boxes and we are keen to do a deal with them.’
