New signing Maya Yoshida has said he spoke to Tadanari Lee prior to agreeing to his move to the Saints, and Lee had nothing but praise for the club.
Speaking to saintsfc as the defender prepares to become our second Japanese player in the squad, the 24 year old said.
‘I am a friend of Chunsun (Lee), who I know from the national team. I asked him about the team, the city and the people here so I have a good feeling about this move. He said I should come here because it’s a great team, and it would be a great step for me. I am very grateful to be able to become a Saint, and I will do my best for the team. I can’t wait to see the stadium full of fans.’
