Saints allow White to join Shrews

Saints have agreed to let striker Jamie White join Shrewsbury Town on an initial four week loan. White will play with the Shrews until December 13th where they will assess if they will renew his loan.

The 19 year old made his debut this august against Derby, with the Saints recording a 2-0 victory at Pride Park. The youngster has enjoyed some starts and appearances under Jan Poortvliet and for the first team. He has also shined in the reserves; recently scoring hat-tricks against Millwall and Plymouth Argyle.

White has declared his excitement about joining Shrewsbury on loan: “I’m looking forward to showing what I can do and picking up some match experience that I can bring back to Southampton,’

Shrewsbury are doing well at the moment, so I hope I can help them to continue their run and then come back and push for a first team place with Saints.’
