Southampton had a novel way of launched thing home and away kits for the season of 2018/19. Two local sides sported them – Romsey Town Youth FC and Littleton Juniors FC – in a specially arranged match that also saw the club give the dressing rooms a makeover.
#SaintsFC kit launch? Are you sure?

Great PR for us – no doubt a fantastic surprise for the youngsters!
The kit launch as a plan was slightly confused owing to the leak of the kits and the attention that took earlier in the week but it still didn’t manage to spoil it for some thankfully, and I actually quite like the offerings this year but it appears people who like the strips are in the minority.
That said, the home shirt takes most of the criticism, with the away yellow shirt getting plenty of positive comments.

£60 saved. Home kit is total pony.

Please sack your designers. And don't assume it's just different tastes. That is just a poorly designed cheap tacky piece of crap. Dozens of fan templates are far, far better.

The stripes look like they’re from another kit and been just stitched in

Think I'll wait to March madness for 75% off then I'll put it in with my other shirts collection in the wardrobe without wearing it. The Under Armour logo and expanded stripe is badly designed and a embarrassment to the club, However the Yellow shirt is awesome! #SaintsFC

Seems a colossal waste of time to me since everyone saw these kits 2 weeks ago. But hey ho I am sure @SouthamptonFC know what they’re doing, the last 2 years have gone so well right? #saintsfc

Well we all love yellow, don’t we ?

Regardless of your take on the kits themselves, if Mark Hughes gets us firing on the pitch as everyone hopes he will this season, then these complaints will be consigned to history and completely forgotten if the football is good and the numbers start wracking up in the win column.
Especially after last season, that is surely the only thing that really matters for 2018/19.
