The Northen Ireland international spent seven seasons at the club in the Premier League, making well over 200 appearances for the Saints as numbers from Transfermarkt show and scoring 14 goals, and Southampton marked his time on the south coast with his strike against Crystal Palace in 2017.
Many Southampton fans were happy to see their former captain deserve the recognition he deserves, and some took to social media to praise Davis for his time at the club.
