Plenty of Southampton fans have been applauding striker Che Adams following his side’s 3-1 victory against Sheffield United on Sunday.

The Saints ended their campaign in 12th place following a dramatic turnaround by Ralph Hasenhuttl and his side that saw them shoot up the table.

Adams, who has had a tough first season at St Mary’s, scored a brace which helped secure all three points in the final game of the season.

Other than his goals, the 24-year-old managed to get three shots on goal, completed two crosses and accumulated a pass success rate of 73%, as per Fotmob.

Unsurprisingly, supporters were delighted for Adams getting on the scoresheet and made their feelings clear on social media. One fan said that he “knew he would come good”, while others described him as a “goal machine” and “on fire”.
