“Exactly What We Need” – Hasenhuttl Hopes New Southampton Man Hits The Ground Running

|

Southampton manager Ralph Hasenhuttl continues his plans for his first full year in charge at St Mary’s ahead of the coming 2019/20 Premier League campaign and he’s taken the squad home to Austria for our training camp this summer.

With plenty of hope and optimism given the changes we saw and the improvements in players under his charge last season as we avoided the drop, we will certainly be looking for more this year and not only further growth but a far more comfortable campaign when it comes to our final place in the table.

New Southampton Signing Makes Incredibly Bold Claim – But Why Not Aim High

With moves in the market made early so the likes of Che Adams can settle in properly, Hasenhuttl’s certainly making the most of the training camp with double sessions so he gets his fundamentals truly in place.

“I think we need this time and we have all the facilities here to work hard and to develop our game. It is something of a bonus time you have with the guys, without the pressure of winning games, so you can focus on a lot of things you want to improve with them. I’m very excited. The guys came back with good condition, with all the work they have to do in the break, and I think we have a good fundamental level from which to start immediately into the hard sessions. So far, we have done so without any problems and enjoyed it a lot.”

In his bumper interview with saintsfc he’s also clearly got high hopes for Che Adams given our lengthy chase of the striker.

“I think it’s important for him to be immediately part of the group. I think he enjoys so far what we do with him and he shows that he is a very robust and good team player. I think it’s important he gets to know as soon as possible what it’s about to play in the forward position in this team. He is open-minded, he wants to learn very quick, and that is exactly what we need.”

With 22 goals to his name last season, if he can hit the ground running and find the back of the net quickly that’ll definitely be a bonus for us, so the more work we can do on the training pitch can only help us here.
