Following his successful loan spell out at Fulham in the second half of the 2017/18 campaign, Matt Targett certainly made an impression at Craven Cottage, playing his part in helping them gain promotion into the Premier League last season.
The 23-year-old was heavily linked with a return last summer with a couple of bids reportedly being rejected by the club, and ultimately he remained with us for 2018/19, making 21 appearances across all competitions in the season.
Sky Sports have claimed this week that Fulham have now revived their interest in him, despite suffering relegation back to the Championship.
The report doesn’t actually have any concrete information in it other than ‘Sky understands’ but given how heavy interest was last year, it’s not that much of a surprise to see it return to the rumour mill.
Having not been willing to deal last summer when Fulham were more splashing the cash, I’m not so sure we’d be any more open to dealing now.
