With Southampton conceding the most goals out of any side in the Premier League season, it is understandable why some supporters might be feeling somewhat jealous about how well Fraser Forster is doing for Celtic.

The Saints keeper has been excelling with the Hoops this year, with Forster coming up big for Celtic in multiple big games this season such as in the Europa League and the recent Scottish League Cup final.
Is Forster worth £25m?
Yes
No
Yet despite this incredible form, Ralph Hasenhuttl has confessed via The Southern Daily Echo that he will not be recalling the 31-year-old goalkeeper in the January transfer window, and on social media, Saints fans were behind the Austrian manager in keeping Forster out on loan with Celtic instead of bringing him back to St. Mary’s to compete with Angus Gunn and Alex McCarthy.
Here’s what some Southampton fans had to say on Twitter about Hassenhuttl’s stance on Forster, with a few supporters okay with the in-form Englishman remaining in Scotland for the season.
No! Get him off the books, he’s happy there and this is our only chance to cash in on him

Nope. Our main problem is up front. Macca is more than ok imo

Always has been the best of our keepers but he deserves to be playing and enjoying the game again so leave him at Celtic for the season and see what happens in the summer

Not at all. He’s found his confidence and form again at Celtic and I for one hope he stays there! Probably too many bad memories here, and our fanbase are so unforgiving that the second he makes a mistake again for us they’ll be calling for his head… Leave him where he’s happy.

Massive missed opportunity!

I don’t agree, he never convinced me and is poor off his line. I think Alex and Angus need to mature, just look at Bart and Gazzaniga both keepers I supported and now doing well. Each to his own tho

Football Insider recently reported that Southampton value Forster at around £25m.
