Whilst it hasn’t always been steady sailing, the turnaround in form for Southampton under manager Ralph Hasenhuttl has been pretty clear for all to see and the Austrian gaffer hasn’t really hidden the fact that fans can expect a busy summer as looks to rebuild the club and end our recent struggles in the Premier League.
He was recently quoted about the future of striker Charlie Austin and how he needed to find ‘another option’ over the summer but Austin certainly won’t be alone on that list.
I don’t believe this is a groundbreaking claim from the Mirror as most fans would’ve expected the following five players to be on a departure list given other press reports in 2019, but you can certainly see Fraser Forster, Jack Stephens, Cedric Soares, Wesley Hoedt and Jordy Clasie moving on as well over the summer.
Given the direction Hasenhuttl has already gone in when it comes to his team selections, there’s probably a few more who could be added with some confidence as well but when it comes to the above list, it seems most fans agree with the decision.
Agree with all. Would probably add a couple more to that list too.
