After James Ward-Prowse’s graphic injury against Tottenham, it looked like the Southampton wizard would be out for a while on the injury table, but it appears that the midfielder is due to return fairly soon.

Ralph Hasenhuttl confirmed in his press conference via the club’s official website earlier this week that Ward-Prowse could feature for this weekend’s Premier League clash against Burnley, with Southampton going into Saturday’s game with essentially a fully fit side as well as winter signing Kyle Walker-Peters fully embedded into the squad.
Is James Ward-Prowse's Southampton's most important player?
Yes, we'd be lost without him
No, there are others who are more important
And as you would expect, lots of Southampton fans on social media were stunned to hear that Ward-Prowse could be back in first-team action as soon as this weekend, with plenty of supporters buzzing to see their midfield maestro back on the pitch.
Here’s what many Saints fans had to say on Twitter about Ward-Prowse’s injury update…
I hope he plays in midfield as well as he was on good form.

A win could see Southampton climb as high as 10th in the Premier League table, overtaking their opponents this weekend in the league standings.
