The Saints clinched three points from their relegation rivals a few days after claiming another big win against Watford, who still remain at the foot of the Premier League table, two victories that have seen Southampton climb out of the relegation zone after over a month in the bottom three as graphs from Transfermarkt show.

Glad that we won, but we made that needlessly harder than it should have been.
We had them on the ropes at the end of the first half, but we decided against trying to attack them in the second. At the end, we were trying to defend a lead instead of extending it.
