Christmas is often seen as the most magical time of year, yet for Southampton fans, there doesn’t seem to be anything merry about the festive period this time around.

The south coast side sit rooted in the relegation zone after 12 games in the Premier League season, with the Saints 19th in the league table and three points off safety after picking up just two wins all campaign.
Is Hasenhuttl still the right man for the job?
Yes, he needs more time
No, he's out of ideas
A 9-0 loss to Leicester City remains the low point for Southampton fans this season, and even the magic of Christmas and the city’s upcoming light switch did little to improve the moods of supporters, who have suffered an awful year so far.
Following the international break, the Saints face an away trip to the English capital to play Arsenal at the Emirates, a club Southampton managed to get the better of at St. Mary’s at this point of the season last year shortly after Ralph Hasenhuttl’s appointment as manager.
Here’s what some Southampton fans had to say about the city event on Twitter…
Lights went out weeks ago lads

I’m supporting a club that is devoid of any heart , soul or ambition. Only difference is I have to do it 365 days a year
