Southampton’s 1-0 win at Craven Cottage was a strong performance and a pleasing result. The Saints were good value for their victory and they’re now in the hat for the third round draw, but it came at the expense of an injury to Nathan Redmond.

The English winger put in a very strong performance as he grabbed his first assist of the season, setting up Michael Obafemi for the only goal of the game in the second half. Sadly, though, he then went on to be replaced as he suffered an ankle injury.
The extent of the blow is not yet known, but after seeing the winger bag his first goal and assist of the season in less than a week, having him on the sideline is not the news that the fans need.

could he not be injured though because he’s kinda important

The Saints obviously want to see Redmond fit for Manchester United, but at the moment it’s up in the air whether he’ll make it.
