Southampton have today travelled to Evian for our second pre-season training camp of the summer and this time around we head to France.

The group selected by manager Mark Hughes for this trip does welcome back Jan Bednarek as his extended summer break following the World Cup out in Russia ends, but Japanese international Maya Yoshida has not yet returned for pre-season training. Nor has Portugal’s Cedric.

With speculation linking Jordy Clasie with a move away from the club, with suggestions of a possible loan spell back to the Dutch Eredivisie with former club Feyenoord, he has travelled so whether or not that gives an answer to the rumour mill remains to be seen. The inclusion of Matt Targett again could be a suggestion on the Fulham front with reports of a second bid coming in.

The full group are:

Alex McCarthy, Angus Gunn, Fraser Forster, Harry Lewis, Wesley Hoedt, Jan Bednarek, Jannik Vestergaard, Ryan Bertrand, Matt Targett, Sam McQueen, Jack Stephens, Harrison Reed, Oriol Romeu, Mario Lemina, Stuart Armstrong, Jordy Clasie, Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, James Ward-Prowse, Steven Davis, Mohamed Elyounoussi, Josh Sims, Nathan Redmond, Shane Long, Manolo Gabbiadini, Charlie Austin, Sam Gallagher.
