Social media has often been used in recent years as a tool to communicate with people from the other side of the world and to catch up with the latest news at the tap of the button. But somethings, it is used to have a dig at football fans.
If we sell Ings for £80-100m in the summer. That’ll give us a £300m transfer budget. If we invest in the right areas we could push for top 4. This is how I would like is set up if we get the targets I know we could easily bring in, with our infrastructure and project. #SaintsFC pic.twitter.com/ljWmquPWr7

And that’s exactly what has happened over the past few days regarding a viral tweet from Aston Villa Twitter account the Aston Villa Bible, who tweeted a starting XI for the Villians for next season should the club sell star player Jack Grealish for £80m-£100m, with the likes of Real Sociedad star Martin Odegaard and Crystal Palace attacker Wilfried Zaha being included.
Should Southampton sign Kevin Danso permanently?
Yes
No
As you would expect, this outlandish starting XI was mocked senselessly by fans of other clubs, and Southampton supporters are no different with plenty of ridiculous squads being generated which cross the threshold of fantasy.
Here’s what lots of Southampton fans had to say about some of the XI’s on Twitter…
If we could sell everyone and have a team of Papa Waigo’s, I’d do it in a heartbeat.

Isn’t there a chance we can get Messi on a free at the end of the season?

The Telegraph reported last week that major changes will be afoot in the Southampton squad in the summer.
