Liverpool starlet Harry Wilson has had a very good season out on loan with Derby County in their Championship 2018/19 campaign, and now rather predictably he’s being linked with a host of Premier League clubs.
The 22-year-old versatile attacker can play on either flank and as Frank Lampard’s side enjoy a trip to Wembley Stadium next Monday for the Play-Off Final, Welsh international Wilson will be relishing the opportunity to go out on a high given he already has 45 starting appearances for them, with three showings from the bench – but he’s contributed 18 goals and four assists across the year.
Sky Sports have claimed recently that Southampton have joined Newcastle United and Brighton and Hove Albion in a three-way race for the £25million rated winger.
Additional reporting also has him linked with Crystal Palace and Wolverhampton Wanderers and if sure before the week is out, that list will have grown. It’s already bigger if you include the apparent German and Spanish clubs tracking him.
With manager Ralph Hasenhuttl wanting Southampton to be more on the front foot next year and an already apparent twist back to youth, if we do have an interest in him, that could significantly play in our favour.
He’s certainly caught the eye this year.
