The January transfer window is going to be a crucial period of the season for Southampton, who are in need of winter recruitments to aid them in claiming Premier League safety.

Ralph Hasenhuttl has already admitted via Sky Sports News that he will be looking to bring in a right-back and centre-back in the New Year, but a report from The Telegraph claims that former Saints midfielder Adam Lallana could be on his way out of Liverpool if his contract solution doesn’t improve.
Is this the most important transfer window in recent years?
Yes, we need fresh faces
No, we've experienced worse
Whilst the England international is yet to be directly linked with a move back to Southampton, plenty of supporters on social media made it clear that they would not welcome their former star returning to St. Mary’s if an offer was ever tabled by the Saints for Lallana.
Here’s Southampton fans had to say on Twitter about whether or not they wanted Lallana to return the club in the near future, with plenty of supporters not open to the Liverpool midfielder making a surprise comeback to the south coast…
No that ship has sailed.Time to build for the future .We cant be a club that rescues careers of players who couldn’t get away quick enough before.

As stats from Transfermarkt show, Lallana was part of a Southampton side that climbed from League One to the Premier League, with the midfielder captaining the side on plenty of occasions.
