Taking on the top-six is something smaller sides in the Premier League rarely aim to do head-on, but Ralph Hasenhuttl and Southampton aren’t your typical duo.

The Saints manager has openly admitted via the club’s official Twitter account that he believes his side are close to being able to go toe-to-toe with the big guns of the English top-flight.
The south coast side have already held Manchester United at home this season and over the weekend the Saints were unlucky to not walk away from north London with anything against Tottenham.
Hasenhuttl’s words, though, drew a mixed reaction from supporters on social media, with one side believing the club can get results against the top-six whilst others think Southampton are doomed to continue losing to such clubs.
Here is what some Southampton fans had to say on Twitter…
Honest. Wins will come.

Defence: Play a goalkeeper who makes saves. Midfield: Play with more flair. Forwards: Let them play for 90m. Manager: Better team selection for the match.
