Plenty of Southampton fans have been having their say on what the best moment is that St Mary’s has ever seen.
The club’s official Twitter account put the question out there to the Saints faithful and two particular occasions were mentioned the most.
The first one was our 4-0 victory against Coventry City in 2012, which saw us promoted for the second time in two years and secured our return to the Premier League under Nigel Adkins.
Which moment was better?
Mane's hat-trick
Coventry promotion party
Sadio Mane’s record-breaking hat-trick was the other moment. The former Saints winger scored three goals in one game quicker than any other player in Premier League history in 2016 during our 6-1 victory against the Birmingham based-outfit, toppling Robbie Fowler’s record that was set in 1994.
With this in mind, supporters could not decide between the two key events and made their feelings clear on social media. One fan said that the promotion party was “absolute joy”, while another added that he was privileged to be at the same when Mane netted his trio.
