Southampton full-back Cedric Soares is reportedly a transfer target for Italian side AC Milan in January.
The 28-year-old only has six months remaining on his contract so Southampton could decide to sell to the player in order to receive a transfer fee.
Cedric has made 109 Premier League appearances for the Saints since joining from Sporting Lisbon in 2015 but spent the second half of last season on loan at Inter Milan.
Fans have been reacting to the news positively as Cedric’s form has dipped recently and because it has been rumoured that he wants to leave the club.
Can we crowdfund his plane ticket?

100% sell better than losing him.on a free especially after he said that he wanted to leave. He’s always been good for us imo but recently he’s been quite average. Buy who would replace him with thou cos as much I love Valery we need more of an experienced person

However, other fans have been questioning whether there is a suitable backup for the Portuguese in the current Saints squad.
not unless we can replace him. might not be in the greatest form but having only young Valery at right back for half the season isn’t going to cut it

With Cedric out of form and out of contract in six months, it may be the time for Southampton to accept if AC Milan decide to make an offer. The only dilemma for Saints fans will be who the suitable replacement would be for Cedric.
