The Saints will play host to Championship side Huddersfield Town in the third round of the FA Cup in a fixture that some Southampton fans on social media are seemingly excited for, in large part due to the game being played at St. Mary’s.
With Ralph Hasenhuttl’s side struggling in the league, it might seemingly be unlikely to claim that the Saints will mount a cup run of any sorts, but Southampton supporters were still happy to be handed a favourable draw in the FA Cup two seasons after making it all the way to the semi-finals.

Southampton were last season eliminated by a Championship side in the FA Cup, with Frank Lampard’s Derby County knocking out the south coast side on penalties.
