At the end of last week, Southampton officially released the new strips for the coming 2019/20 Premier League campaign. Now kits are always subjective and the reaction from the fanbase often lurches from falling in love with them instantly, to having a horrific and abhorrent physical reaction that’s not quite as complimentary.

The manner of the release was now in true Southampton fashion when it comes to social media and really making an event of it, but for plenty, that was where the fun ended.

I’m really not sure what to say about the away kit (some like it), but plenty of fans have already had an issue with the new sponsor LDSports and the introduction of the black to the top of the home strip, definitely hasn’t gone down well with some fans on social media.
As ever though, the football is more important and it’s how we perform on the pitch that matters and if we get that right next season, no one will care about the strip – it gain a cult following with success.
Deserve relegation for this

Someone do us a favour and fill the black area with red…

There is absolutely zero point in that black stripe at the top of the home shirt.
It doesn’t match/work with anything else on the shirt and it’s so bizarre that it’s there.
