Bailey11 is the latest member to give us his views on the club.
1 – How long have you been a Saints fan?
All my life unfortunately! The family are born and bred Southerners so I was always gonna be a Saints fan.
2 – Can you remember your first game?
Sort of. I remember Egil Ostenstad scoring at The Dell. I think it might have been against Blackburn but I’m not too sure.
3 – What is your most memorable moment as a Saints fan?
The FA Cup Final. Unbelievable scenes. Seeing us now makes me realise just how far we have fallen in such a short space of time!
4 – And the worst moment?
The day United sent us down to The Championship. When Quashie put us ahead early on, and news was coming through of Fulham thumping Norwich, I was convinced it would be our day. How wrong I was!
5 – Who are your favourite current Saints players?
Big fan of Andrew Surman, being a local lad and a committed Saints player. I like Morgan Schneiderlin too although I don’t think we’ve seen the best of him yet. Lee Holmes is a decent winger as well.
6 – Which former player do you wish hadn’t moved on/retired?
Obviously Matt Le Tiss. We could certainly do with him now!
7 – Which player do you think was the worst to ever put on the famous red and white?
Based on his debut, Alan Bennett, although he did improve somewhat as his loan spell went on. Ali Dia has got to be the stand out one for me though. ‘WHO?’ I hear you ask . . .
8 – What is the best goal you have seen Saints score?
Henri Camara’s winning goal against Norwich when we beat them 4-3 at St Mary’s. When that goal went in, I was convinced it was a sign that we were going to pull off another great escape. I’ve never heard St Mary’s erupt like that before. Unreal.
9 – What is the most memorable game you’ve seen?
For me, it would have to be when we beat Wolves away 6-0. Such an odd game. Wolves could have been 2 or 3 up after 20 minutes. Saga was so clinical that day, his second goal was sublime.
