Portuguese European Championship winner Cedric Soares is quickly losing the Southampton crowd with his performances this season.
2017/18 saw a number of criticisms go his way as a number of fans felt he was no longer the player he was prior to his medal success with his country and whatever the real reason behind his dip in form in recent years, this season has not seen any improvement and he’s become a very easy go-to for fans as they vent following disappointing results.
That’s no different following our easy and heavy defeat to Liverpool at the weekend and it’s not just his defensive performances that are getting hammered, he’s also now coming in for more criticism on an attacking front.
And when he is defending

People will heavily get on Wesley Hoedt’s back, but Cedric is shocking! #SaintsFC

Terrible performance so far. Why do I wake up early to watch this shambles? Cedric and Hoedt simply not good enough #SaintsFC

Can't blame Hoedt for the 1st goal but Cedric could do better in the build up#saintsfc Matip beating Vestergaard in a aerial battle #saintsfc trying to keep Liverpool out
Need to attack
We score 2 in the second half even we concede another 3 I'd be happy.— TacticalCorner (@CornerTactical) September 22, 2018
No rival so knows he will play, complacent

Woeful again.

He’s certainly not the dynamic attacking fullback we have come to expect, but whether you can lay the blame at his door or the movement further up the pitch is open for debate.
One thing is for sure, last season’s hangover is still with us and we are showing no signs of changing that atmosphere and lack of confidence and Soares isn’t the only one off key at the moment.
