Many Southampton fans showered Danny Ings with praise after he scored yet another goal during his side’s 2-0 victory against Bournemouth at the Vitality Stadium.

The 27-year-old continued his pursuit for the 2019/20 Golden Boot after bagging his 21st goal of the season, moving just two behind Leicester City’s Jamie Vardy before their game against Tottenham shortly after.

Che Adams also scored in the eighth minute of added time in the second half to secure the three points for the visitors, compounding more misery on Eddie Howe’s side who’s relegation battle is now out of their hands with other sides having games in hand.

Unsurprisingly, supporters were full of praise for Ings and made their feelings clear on social media. One fan went as far as saying that he deserves the key to Southampton, while others described him as “glorious” and as the “best player in the world”.
