The Southampton attacker scored in Mali’s 2-0 win over Chad in the Eagles second qualifying game for the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations, taking Djenepo’s nation to joint-top of the group with Guinea.

Whilst Djenepo has only managed five Premier League appearances as stats from Transfermarkt show, the 21-year-old attacker has been one of the few bright sparks for Southampton this season, helping the Saints to their two wins of the campaign and scoring the division’s Goal of the Month award in September for his stunning solo goal against Sheffield United.
And supporters on social media were glad to see Djenepo finding his feet again after a lengthy spell out with injury.

Djenepo could be back in the Southampton starting XI this weekend when the Saints off against Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium.
