Some Southampton fans have applauded the hard work that manager Ralph Hasenhuttl has put in since he arrived at St Mary’s.
The Austrian tactician was appointed back in December 2018 on a two-and-a-half-year deal following the dismissal of Mark Hughes after we ended up 18th in the Premier League table.
We went on to survive that season by the skins of our teeth and finished 14th the following campaign, which indicated steady signs of improvement under the former RB Leipzig boss.
Is Hasenhuttl still the right man for the job?
Yes, he needs more time
No, he's out of ideas
From his first 60 matches in charge on the South Coast, he has only managed a points-per-game average of 1.25, which is currently the worst of his managerial career, as per TransferMarkt.
Despite this, supporters stuck up for Hasenhuttl and made their feelings clear on social media. One fan said that he was a “special” man, while another applauded his determination in the job.
