“Staying Up” “Brilliant News” – Southampton’s Thursday Announcement Gives These Fans Something To Cheer

|

With last night’s announcement that Southampton Academy graduate Yan Valery had now signed a new long term contract at the club, the news was obviously greatly received amongst the fanbase.

The 20-year-old prospect made his senior club debut back in the EFL Cup tie with Leicester City back at the end of November and he basically hasn’t looked back. He now boasts 17 appearances to his name in total under new Austrian manager Ralph Hasenhuttl, and having scored a debut goal with his pearler against Manchester United, he started the fight back in our last match against Tottenham Hotspur.

The kid has a bright future ahead of him, but clearly there are areas of his game that he needs to work on, but that’s perfectly natural at his age.

With Valery again being proof that the Southampton production line is back open for business with more recent managers slamming the door shut, Southampton fans on social media were delighted with the announcement.
