Some Southampton fans have been reflecting on Moussa Djenepo’s goal during our hard-fought 1-0 victory against Sheffield United last September.
The 21-year-old scored the only goal of the game as we took all three points back to St Mary’s, in a stadium where many teams have suffered tremendously this season.
Was Djenepo Southampton's signing of the summer?
Yes
No
Djenepo took on three Blades defenders and finished calmly passed Dean Henderson to send the travelling Saints faithful into raptures, with Sheffield United having only lost five times at home all season, which is impressive for a newly-promoted side. Even more on our behalf, of course.
Because of this, supporters were delighted to watch the footage back and made their feelings clear on social media. One fan said that the goal alone made the trip worthwhile, while others praised the day as a whole which was a joyful one as we made our way back down the M1.
❤️ WHAT A GOAL!!!

Was worth the trip to Bramall Lane on its own. (Let’s ignore all their salty comments about handballs yeah…..)
