Southampton youngster Jake Hesketh’s stock continues to rise following the decision over the summer to send him out on loan with Burton Albion and he made his mark against Middlesbrough on Tuesday evening as he booked the Brewers’ place in the semi-final of the EFL Cup.
Congratulations Jake Hesketh! 👏

With plenty of Saints fans wanting to see the 22-year-old given game time with us this year, former manager Mark Hughes felt otherwise, and he now has 21 appearances to his name for Burton in 2018/19, and having opened his professional goal account against Portsmouth in League One, he’s added two EFL Cup goals to his name.
Hesketh’s 48th minute winner at the Riverside created history for Burton as they went through to the final four for the first time in their history and rightly our youngster has come in for significant praise since.
Not least from Southampton fans themselves.
Enjoy the lad, he’s a saint through and through and will be back after he helps your lot win the cup ????

You can have him for the rest of the season as long as you win the cup. Burton v AC Milan next season has a ring to it. Good luck Brewers ????????

So, if we don’t call him back he has a date with either Arsenal or Tottenham Hotspur now and that should be a cracking experience for him.
