Southampton will have been extremely disappointed last weekend to only come away with a point after an excellent display against Arsenal saw them concede a late equaliser to share the points in a 2-2 draw.
But Ralph Hasenhüttl’s side will be looking to take the positives from last weekend as they return to St Mary’s to take on Watford on Saturday, a vital match for both sides struggling near the bottom on the Premier League.
With this fixture in mind, Southampton posted a video on their Twitter page of Shane Long’s record goal last season, which he scored in just 7.69 seconds, the quickest goal in Premier League history.
Saints fans have had mixed reactions to the video and it may not have had the positive effect the club had intended.

You will be absolutely shocked to hear that we conceded a goal in the 90th minute, and drew 1-1 lmao

Still living in the past. How about planning our future better so you don’t need to keep showing old clips or players apologising?

If Saints don’t score within 7 seconds this time, I’ll be fuming

Some fans are worried about the club’s current woes and feel it will take more than a resurfaced video to help. But other fans had more positive views on Shane Long’s goal.
More of the same please!

Please please please someone do it again and win

Last season’s match against Watford may not be remembered fondly by Saints fans as they went on to concede in the last minute and the game ended 1-1 so the timing from Southampton to replay the goal may have backfired on this occasion.
