After picking up their first point after four games without a win with a 2-2 draw at Arsenal over the weekend, Southampton manager Ralph Hasenhüttl was pleased to see his side put in a much-improved performance.
Hasenhüttl also emphasised the importance of remaining positive with some important fixtures coming up as his side will be facing Watford, Norwich and Newcastle, all teams who are either in or just outside the relegation places.
Fans were also echoing the positive thoughts of Hasenhüttl after the game and it seems that Saints fans want to build on their deserved point against Arsenal.
Something to build on I guess. Six points a must for the next two games now, Ralph 👍

Fair play ralph; really brought the team together today. Hopefully we can bring this in next home games.

It’s how we looked at man city. If we continue such performances, we will be just fine. Keep it going Ralph. #WeMarchOn

Despite the positives, many fans were left aggrieved about their side having to share the points with Arsenal and showed their disappointment at conceding in the 96th minute and not seeing off the game at the Emirates.
all you need is SHORTER game because in 90″ you cant win 🙁

I wish he would be real, the team is in real trouble, one point is better than none, but you keep giving up points, the team needs wins, period!!!

Difficult task for Ralph, the squad is weak.

It’s clear that some Saints fans are happy with a point at Arsenal, but given the club’s current league position and their poor run of form, the result has to go down as a disappointment overall for Southampton.
They could have moved above Norwich and would have been just one point behind Aston Villa in 17th with a more clinical performance.
